How do I book a consultation?

What should I bring to the first meeting?
Bring every document connected to the matter. Notices, agreements, receipts, court papers, identity proof and any written communication. Papers that look unimportant often decide how a case has to be framed, so if you are not sure about something, bring it.
What are the fees?
Fees depend on the nature of the matter, the forum and the work it needs. They are settled before the engagement begins, so you know what you are committing to. Court fees and other expenses are listed separately from the professional fee.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed is protected by advocate-client privilege and is not disclosed to anyone without your instructions. Please speak freely, because advice is only as good as the facts it is based on.
Can my matter be handled if I live in another city?
Yes. Consultations are held over phone or video call and documents can be sent digitally. You need to be present only where the court requires it, and you will be told well in advance when that is.
How long will my case take?
That depends on the forum, the complexity of the matter and the conduct of the other side, so no advocate can honestly give you a fixed date. You will be given a realistic range at the outset and a straight answer at every stage about where the matter stands.
Can a settlement be reached instead of going to trial?
Wherever a fair settlement is possible it is worth exploring, since it is usually faster and cheaper than a contested trial. Settlement is never pressed at the cost of your rights, and the decision remains yours.
Do you take urgent matters such as bail or a stay?
Yes. Bail applications, stay orders and interim protection are taken up on priority. Call directly rather than emailing if the matter cannot wait.
